On 12 February 2026, an online workshop will take place focusing on the impact of digitalization on political organisations, based on the edited volume Digital Democracy in Europe: Transformations in Political Communication, Participation and Governance.
Working Group 2
On June 17-18, 2025, WG2 held a hybrid meeting in Mainz (Germany), hosted by
Isabelle Borucki and Jasmin Fitzpatrick at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. The meeting served as a strategic planning forum, setting a clear, collaboratively agreed-upon direction for the WG2 priorities during the second Grant Period.
Working Group 3
Following his appointment as coordinator of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence “TransformEU: Navigating Europe’s Decade of Transformations”, Felix von Nostitz has stepped down from his role. With the approval of WG3 members, he has been replaced by Fabio García Lupato from the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain).
Working Group 4
On 1–2 October 2025, the workshop “Citizens, Political Organisations and Digital Technologies: Disconnection or/and Reconnection?” was hosted by the Brussels Institute for Advanced Studies (BrIAS) within the framework of COST Action RELINK². The event gathered academics, political practitioners, and stakeholders to discuss how digital technologies reshape participation, deliberation, and democratic governance.
