The kick-off meeting of COST Action CA23114 was held on the 7th October 2024 at the COST headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. The agenda included an introduction by COST, an overview of COST Action ‘Relink2’, discussion rounds for the main topics, and election of the mandatory leadership positions. The meeting attracted nearly 20 MC members from across Europe.
Michał Jacuński of University of Wrocław (Poland) was elected as Action Chair and Jasmin Fitzpatrick from Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (Germany) as Action Vice – Chair.
Professor Jacuński expressed his gratitude to all MC members and COST staff for endorsement of all proposed candidates for mandatory positions. He was also enthusiastic about building a Europe-wide scientific network to coordinate research on digitalisation in political organisations.
The project “RELINK2 – Regaining linkage? Digital technologies improving civic engagement, political organisations and democracy” has been selected for funding by the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST). The project starts in October 2024 and lasts utill October 2028. The main proposer is Michal Jacunski (Wroclaw University) and was seconded by 30 secondary proposers from 18 countries.
